Once you have your eyelids flapping,
and your lips can form the basic phonemes, you'll
find that there is still something missing. If
you take a look at the facial expressions shown
in the Doug Kelly book, you'll see that there
are several we can't make with what we have so
far. Depending on what you are doing, you may
want to make a lot of additional targets, or
only a few. I'm going to look at one example.

Instead of setting this all
up from scratch, just make a new target called "Face.snarl",
and make the following adjustments:

The nose - pull one nostril
up, and flare it a bit,
The upper lip, raise the
same side up a bit,
The eye socket - pull
it in around the eye a touch,
Ka bing, that'll do. Now
when you return to Layout and use the Morph
Mixer, you can combine the "Face.snarl" target
with various of the other we already made,
like the eyelid and brow targets.
